的小组.D. 程序 is designed to ensure that students will meet the competencies essential for achieving these three aims:

• To develop knowledge of the fundamental theories and scientific foundations of psychology
• To prepare for the ethical and competent practice of psychology across the lifespan with diverse populations
• To join the scholarship of graduates who ensure the scientific foundation of psychological practice

Students are expected to meet a minimum of three full-time academic years of graduate study with a minimum of two of the three years of training being completed in residence in Holy Family’s Counseling Psychology Psy.D. 程序. You will also be expected to complete a full-time, one-year pre-doctoral internship as a requirement of graduation from the 程序, at an internship site accredited by the APA (or the equivalent thereof ).

Applicants must possess the following qualifications for admission to the Doctor of Psychology in Counseling Psychology 程序: 

• A master’s degree in Counseling or a related field from an accredited college or university. 
• 3.硕士课程的平均绩点5分. Masters level transcripts will be verified to ensure appropriate coursework and field experience prior to beginning 程序. 
• Three satisfactory letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with the applicant’s academic or professional work. 
• An application form with a nonrefundable application fee.

• A 250-500 word personal statement of 临床 and research interests. The quality of the applicant’s statement will be of critical importance to the success of the application for admission. 
• Official transcripts of all previous college or university work.

Please note that the 程序 is limited in size because of the intensive training requirements. Although many applicants meet the criteria for admission, it may not be possible to admit all qualified students.
